Is noise induced hearing loss a disease?

There has been some dispute in whether noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) is a disease for the calculation of success fees in personal injury claims. On 16 October 2014 Mr Justice Phillips sitting in the High Court in Cardiff will hear arguments on these issues.
