Tim Roper – LLB (Hons) – Director

Tim Roper

Tim specialises in personal injury claims and is a member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence specialist panel as well as being accredited as a Senior Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). Tim is also a member of the Pan European Organisation for Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL).

Tim now specialises in injuries arising from the workplace, in particular Noise Induced Hearing Loss claims (NIHL) but has broad experience of all personal injury claims. He recovered £3 million in damages on behalf of a young woman who sustained a serious brain injury after she failed to receive the appropriate treatment whilst being carried in an ambulance. Tim also successfully ran and concluded the Sabril Group Litigation (Vigabatrin), a complex piece of litigation of nearly ten years duration where he acted in a Group Action for all the Claimants in England and Wales against the suppliers of an anti epileptic drug where it was alleged the drug caused a loss to the peripheral fields of vision, in some cases leading to full functional blindness.

Tim says:

“Injury claims are usually very difficult for the client and their family and can raise sensitive issues. I strive to help the client through the whole legal process and resolve the claim in a successful, prompt and sympathetic manner.”

When not in the office Tim is a keen supporter of both Plymouth Albion RFC and his son’s (Tom) junior rugby team, Devonport Services RFC. When time permits, Tim enjoys surfing his longboard on the beaches of North Devon. Most of all Tim can be found walking his loyal black Labrador Saxon in Plymbridge woods.

Interesting fact

Tim has represented Bermuda at rugby.
