David’s legal career began in 1999 with a local Firm where he amassed experience in all types of personal injury claims before developing an interest in industrial injury and disease claims. David further developed his skills to specialise in industrial deafness claims as well as those where injury was caused as a consequence of exposure to asbestos. David is known for his proactive ‘no nonsense’ approach which has resulted in him successfully concluding many hundreds of claims over the years. David is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
I recovered damages in excess of £120,000 on behalf of the estate of a client who contracted mesothelioma as a consequence of very minimal exposure to asbestos in Devonport Dockyard. You need to be both empathetic and compassionate whilst dealing with family members of the bereaved or the terminally ill coupled with a steely resolve when dealing with the defendant to ensure that the case is not just concluded successfully but with minimal distress to the family.
David enjoys spending time with his young family and is kept on his toes by his mischievous young daughter Matilda. Many a weekend are spent supporting his son Oscar at various swimming galas. David enjoys watching football, trying to surf and cooking, having recently undertaken a course at Rick Stein’s cookery school.
David has a morbid fear of deck chairs having required surgery following an unfortunate, but very funny accident with one when it folded shut on him.
